The last few nights ive been doing some night fishing.I recently found a really nice place where the carp are all over,so i went home and made my special dough ball(its a mixture of peanut butter,bread,and a few other things)i hadnt dropped my line in the water no more then 5 minutes and had a carp on my hook,i kept adjusting my drag to give him some slack,but then bam he snapped my line.So i thought!The line was real wavy at the end so i assumed my hook knot came un done and the hook slipped off.The same thing happened to me 4 more times that same night from 11 30 to about 2 am.I was using a 6 hook on the first few then switched to a 4 hoping to get a bigger bite cause on one or 2 the hook just bent and came out of his mouth.
Im curious of some good knots that are guaranteed to hold well.All i need is some names and then ill google and look on youtube for a how to.Thanks

What is the strongest and best knot to tie for a fishing hook and weight? WIthout using a liter at the end of the line what is the strongest knot to tie to keep from busting line when you actually do catch a good fish? I have tied multiple knots and some last longer than others.. Can someone please show me the best knot to keep me from losing big fish.. Thanks-

That would probably be the Palomar Knot, the good thing about this is that it is a very strong knot, and there is usually a lot of line left over, so you can tie a weight to the extra line, this is known as a drop shot.(How to tie a Palomar knot)
