Wrought Iron Furniture And Fine Quality Wrought Iron Curtain Rods
The rustic country styling of Europe's villas have often invoke images of sun-washed vineyards, stone farmhouses, wrought iron curtain rods, wrought iron furniture and crumbling stone walls. Popularized in lush timeless regions such Tuscany, the Spanish coast and the South of France, the architecture and ambiance of these locals is still treasured and sought after, even in more contemporary homes. The Appeal lies in its simplicity. A combination of comfortable, worn and sturdy materials can make any room warm and inviting, a down to earth and stylish look that is as well suited in a country home as in an old chateaux.
Black wrought iron and rustic metals are perfect to set the tone in a rustic themed room. Rusted wrought iron furniture, light fixtures, and worn wooden accessories add depth and a casual ‘lived in’ feel. The Tuscan villa style is inspired by elements of nature, and it’s important to pull these elements into your home. Warm, richly colored country curtains; punctuated by bright black wrought iron curtain rods and window treatments, frame any window in a pastoral and inviting manner. Terra cotta or marble flooring add wonderful lines and vintage appeal that will compliment these wrought iron curtain rods and wrought iron decor. This hand crafted authentic look will fit beautifully in to your home. You’ll be surprised at how even small accents such as intricate wrought iron pieces and worn wood furniture can bring a touch of old world charm into your modern home.
At Wrought Iron Haven we have many customers asking about extra wide window treatments and how to go about designing for them. With today's window treatments in the market place, it is quite difficult to find wrought iron curtain rods that are longer than 130 inches. No matter where you look, they just are not being made today. This poses a problem for those beautiful homes with a lot of window area. So why can you not find these extra long curtain rods? Discussing this in length with a manufacture, we have come to realize that after a certain length the wrought iron starts to bend, even with a support.
So what is one to do with a huge window area? We have devised a design that will work well with windows that require these extra long wrought iron curtain rods without having them look undesirable. With this design idea you can decorate a window treatment as wide as you need.
For bigger window treatments just use two rods or even three! A two rod, two finial combo will work fine. Because wrought iron curtain rods separate into two equal parts, you can mix and match them to create the combination. By using one ball finial curtain rod and one other decorative finial rod, like the leaf, you are able to interchange them so the two ball finials meet in the middle and the two more decorative finials are on the end. This way the break in the rod is hardly noticeable. But remember that you will need a center bracket for the middle of each of the two rods. This however does make it difficult to have only two curtains within the window treatment because the rings will catch on the center support bracket so you will be wise to have a curtain set that will fit in between the grooves.

QUESTION:
What sort of fishing rods are used while fishing in the ocean?
I am planning a trip and I wanted to know what sort of fishing rods are used while fishing in the ocean? Because there is no way ordinary lake fishing rods will work. So I would like to know brands, names or any links of where I can find these fishing rods. Also if your fishing with live bait what are the chances of hooking a shark, if a shark is hook what are the precautions you take in order from keeping yourself from harm?-
ANSWER:
Most name-brand freshwater tackle will stand up to the salt, as long as you rinse it with fresh water after a day fishing. I've caught good fish in the ocean using everything from an 8-pound test freshwater spinning outfit to a heavy 80-pound test trolling outfit. It all depends where you're going and what you're after. For what it's worth, for a basic inshore trip summer in southern California, I'd recommend a largish spinning or baitcasting outfit, or midsized conventional outfit, with 15-20 pound line, though if larger fish (yellowtail, white seabass) are biting, or if you're heading offshore for tuna, you might want to go a bit heavier. In other parts of the country your needs will be different.
As for brands, Penn is the old standby, Daiwa and Shimano make high-quality saltwater gear as well.
As for sharks and live bait: Just about every fish will eat live bait (sardines, anchovies, mackerel, etc.) as it's their natural food. Sharks will eat it, too, but you're no more likely to get a shark with live vs. dead bait. Most of the sharks you're likely to see will be the small, basically harmless bottom-dwellers, these you just unhook and release. If you get a big shark and don't want it, either break it off beside the boat or clip the line (assuming it hasn't bit through your line already).

QUESTION:
When changing tie rods on a ford escort should I change both inner and outer?
I have a 1995 ford escort 1.9 liter recently I was in for an oil change and it was recommended that I change my tie rods. Are they talking about the outer tie rods or should I change both inner and outer and how much time and/or tools would I need to them myself.-
ANSWER:
take it to somebody who does alignments and have them check it, not a chain store like midas or jiffy lube. if you do it yourself chances are the steering wheel will be way crooked and the tires will wear fast because of the adjustment. most likely just the outers will need to be done, i dont change inners i replace the rack&pinion assy. and thats expensive. but the alignment has to be done right away after the tie rod ends are replaced. also the lower ball joints on those cars go bad often, have them checked as well.

QUESTION:
What is the difference between control rods and fuel rods?
In a nuclear reactor, what are fuel rods? What are control rods?
Where are they located in the reactor? Do they have the same function? If possible, please list your source.
Thanks!
-
ANSWER:
Fuel rods contain the fissionable fuel.Control rods moderate the rate of fission by absorbing some of the neutrons.
Both are found in the reactor core.

QUESTION:
How long does it take to cool nuclear fuel rods?
So nuclear fuel rods are dangerous when exposed because they are hot and emit radiation.
What is the science behind not being able to cool the fuel rods easily and not keeping them cool at room temperature without the need for water cooling?-
ANSWER:
Your question parallels mine from a few minutes ago, namely why there's heat generated. There are spontaneous fission events, which generate very energetic neutrons. These neutrons have very low collision cross section with the host nuclei, because of their very high velocity, so generally do not create another fission event. In order to have a sustained reaction, you either need to have a critical mass of the material (which means enough of it that the probability of collision is high enough to generate a chain reaction) OR you moderate the neutron velocity, like with water.
So, unless the rods themselves are near critical mass, the loss of water should shut the reaction off. However, this doesn't seem to be the case. Indeed, the plants have cooling ponds for the spent nuclear fuel, too.
The answer to your question, and therefore to mine, must be that the fuel rods themselves are near critical in mass and that they can generate enough internal neutron/nuclear collisions to keep a reaction going. Once it starts, the material heats, and the collision cross section for a neutron on a nucleus goes way up.
In terms of time, the answer is measured in the half-life of the fuel. You have to keep the rods cool for a decent length of time, at least until the neutron emission is back to "background" levels. You're left with stable fission products like lead and polonium.
Thanks for helping me figure out the answer to both of our questions!
